The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell is a celebration of the music and heritage of Louisiana and New Orleans. It began in 1970 and draws hundreds of thousands of people each year. The festival presents a daily music lineup alongside juried contemporary and heritage crafts, regional food, and cultural areas such as the Louisiana Folklife Village, the Native American Village, grandstand exhibits and a kids area. It also offers a mobile app, live recordings, a festival forum, a shuttle service and an official poster. The festival works with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, which is linked from its site.
