NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that champions emerging and independent filmmakers and storytellers from around the world. It presents a monthly film festival of curated short and feature films, followed by Q&As and industry networking, along with the InFocus screening series and the DocuSlate documentary platform. Year-round programming also includes the STARZ #Take. The. Lead Writers' Intensive, the New. Narratives development initiative, interview series, a Cine. Sessions high school mentorship program, and workshops and panels led by industry professionals. Through these efforts, NFMLA offers filmmakers exhibition, career development, mentorship, funding opportunities and access to distribution, production and representation professionals.
