Niagara Artists Centre is a not-for-profit, charitably registered, member-driven collective in downtown St. Catharines, formed by and dedicated to the working artists and community of Niagara. Founded in 1969, it is one of the oldest artist-run organizations in Canada. It provides a forum for the development, exhibition and appreciation of contemporary art through facilities, equipment, professional expertise and a supportive atmosphere for arts research and advocacy. It runs several galleries, including a members' gallery, and offers member resources such as a tool library, a film library, educational workshops and publications. Its programming also includes calls for submissions, music and literary events, and the Mighty Niagara Film Festival.
