North American Cultural Laboratory (NACL)

North American Cultural Laboratory (NACL) is an artist-run, member-supported, nonprofit residency center based in New York's southwestern Catskills, dedicated to research and development in the performing arts. Through its Deep Space Performance Residency program, it gives artists and ensembles time and space to develop devised, original, or ensemble performance works, culminating in public work-in-progress sharings. The organization maintains a theatre and a 12-bedroom artist residence set among lake and woodland, and publishes "The Periodic Table," an online journal for its members. In 2022 NACL marked 25 years as an organization fostering new works in the performing arts.
