North Dakota's state arts council, strengthening creative capacity through grants, programs and public art.
The North Dakota Council on the Arts strengthens the creative capacity of North Dakota for all who live and visit there, honoring cultural traditions, empowering excellence and innovation, and inspiring arts and culture opportunities for all. The Council offers several grant programs and a range of arts programs and partnerships. These include Arts Across the Prairie, a public art placemaking program for rural North Dakota, and a Featured Artist series exhibiting North Dakota artists' work at the Capitol. It also shares stories about the state's artists and arts organizations, publishes a monthly e-newsletter, and hosts a biennial Statewide Arts Convening that brings together artists, arts organizations, cultural workers and heritage advocates from across North Dakota.
