Onoma is a cooperative of artists, designers and artisans founded in 1996 in the historic ironworks village of Fiskars in Raseborg, Finland. It is one of the oldest operating artist cooperatives in the country, and its 145 members, who work in dozens of fields of design, arts and crafts, each live or work in the village. Its most visible activity is a yearly programme of curated, often international summer exhibitions. Members also run their own gallery spaces and the ONOMA Shop in the centre of the village. Onoma also hosts Fiskars AiR, an international artist residency that has operated under the cooperative for 15 years.
