Orange County Center for Contemporary Art

The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, artist-run gallery in Santa Ana, California, dedicated to professional excellence and freedom of expression in contemporary art. Founded in 1980 by five artist members, it has grown into a nurturing venue for emerging and mid-career artists from Orange County and the broader Southern California region. OCCCA's artist members run nearly every aspect of the organization themselves, including exhibition design and installation, publicity, curatorial work, grant writing, and facilities maintenance. Over more than four decades, OCCCA has exhibited over 1,000 guest artists and presented hundreds of solo, group, and juried exhibitions, including shows organized by invited outside curators.
