Patronicity is a civic crowdfunding platform that connects changemakers with funding partners to support community-led projects. It provides an online crowdfunding platform along with one-on-one project coaching, helping communities build a strategy to reach their fundraising goals and engage their neighbors.
It also runs a model it calls crowdgranting, which pairs crowdfunding with matching grants from partners such as state agencies, foundations and nonprofits. When an approved project reaches its funding goal, it receives the matching grant, and the community acts as the final review committee. Patronicity manages the grantmaking process so that partners can focus on community and economic development.
