A nonprofit, volunteer-run gallery showcasing Iowa artists in a historic 1908 post office building.
The Polk County Heritage Gallery is a nonprofit gallery that provides opportunities for Iowa artists to show their work. It is housed in the 1908 Beaux Arts Post Office, now part of the Polk County Administrative Building. The Gallery hosts two competitive juried exhibits each year, typically in spring and fall, along with a variety of shows by local artists. The Gallery is run sustainably and depends on hundreds of volunteer hours every year to keep its doors open, manage exhibitions, and hang work.
