Pride of Indy Bands

Pride of Indy Bands is Indiana's first LGBTQ+ instrumental ensemble, made up of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and LGBT-friendly musicians. It runs several ensembles, including a concert band, a jazz band, a marching/pep band and the Geeks and Grooves Saxophone Collective. The group welcomes players of every background, from those with 20+ years of experience to those who haven't played in 20+ years. It serves as a musical and educational resource to the Central Indiana community, working in a supportive, accepting and affirming atmosphere. Its vision is a joyous Indianapolis arts community that celebrates the talents of LGBTQ+ musicians and their allies.
