R.A.R.O. (Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas)

R.A.R.O. (Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas) is an itinerant, self-managed artist residency program founded in Buenos Aires in 2014. Rather than operating from a single space, it connects artists with a network of more than 50 local artist studios, cultural spaces and institutions, designing each residency individually for the artist or group involved. Since its founding it has hosted more than 450 artists in Buenos Aires, later establishing a base in Madrid and, since 2024, a permanent program in Bogotá where it has hosted over 90 artists. Through this international network, R.A.R.O. fosters artistic mobility, peer learning, and lasting connections between artists, curators, educators, communities and institutions.
