ReFrame Film Festival is an international documentary film festival and community celebration of documentary film and media art, centred on social justice, human rights and environmental responsibility. Founded in 2005, it is held each winter in Peterborough and online across Canada, with films, filmmaker talks, panels, performances, exhibitions and community gatherings. The festival prioritizes work by equity-deserving, local and regional artists, and runs a Community Partnership program and a Community Access Program that distributes free passes to reduce barriers to participation. A registered charity governed by a Board of Directors, it also offers low-barrier community screenings throughout the year.
