A museum and international artist residency in Saxnäs, Sweden.
Ricklundgården is a museum and international artist residency in the mountain village of Saxnäs, Sweden, built in the late 1940s by artists Emma and Folke Ricklund as their home overlooking Kultsjön and the Marsfjäll mountains. The museum preserves Emma Ricklund's home largely as she left it in 1965, showcasing a mix of local and exotic art in a unique artist's home setting. Its two studios have hosted visiting artists from around the world for more than 80 years, continuing as an active international art residency today. Ricklundgården also runs community art education initiatives, including the KRAM program for children and youth in the surrounding region.
