Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art

Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art (SFSIA) is a nomadic, intensive summer academy focused on contemporary critical theory and its relationship to art and politics. Founded in 2015 in Saas-Fee, Switzerland by Warren Neidich, SFSIA has since traveled to Berlin, Los Angeles, New York, Arnhem, and Paris. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach, welcoming students, practitioners, and scholars from art, philosophy, cultural studies, film, design, architecture, and beyond. Each iteration centers on a thematic inquiry at the intersection of aesthetics, politics, and contemporary thought.
