Salt Spring National Art Prize

The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) is a biennial competition and exhibition of Canadian visual art, offering $52,000 in awards and counted among Canada's largest celebrations of contemporary art. It is managed by the SSNAP Society, a registered charity based on Salt Spring Island, BC, which since 2015 has sought to advance, recognize and nurture artistic creativity and originality in Canadian visual arts. Alongside the prize, the organization presents the Parallel Art Show, a juried competition for artists living in British Columbia's Southern Gulf Islands. It also hosts artist talks and workshops, and relies on corporate sponsors, community donors and volunteers.
