The San Francisco Arts Commission is the City and County of San Francisco's arts agency. It supports local artists, arts organizations, nonprofits, cultural institutions and cultural centers through its grantmaking, which it now administers together with Grants for the Arts. The commission manages the Civic Art Collection and the city's public art projects, murals and the Art on Market Street Poster Series, and runs the Art Vendor program. It presents free exhibitions at the SFAC Main Gallery in the War Memorial Veterans Building and at City Hall, and holds public meetings open to anyone who wishes to attend and comment.
