Second Lives is a platform celebrating artists who have developed their practice alongside other careers. It showcases how an artist's work can emerge from, or be enriched by, alternative careers, parallel lives and reinvention.
The platform is curated by Paula Lent and Jane Neal. Its inaugural exhibition brought together works by a group of leading contemporary artists, and available artworks can be enquired about directly.
In 2026 it is partnering with adult education provider City Lit on a series of talks about creative career reinvention, ending in a public exhibition in central London. It also runs an open call for artists.
