Sonoran Plein Air Painters is a membership society dedicated to supporting and growing the art of plein air painting in the Sonoran Desert and Southern Arizona. It brings artists and community supporters together to learn, paint and share ideas.
Through paintouts, exhibitions of members' work, workshops, demonstrations, friendly critiques and meetings, it creates opportunities for connection and artistic development. It grew out of the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society, founded in 1998 and reorganized under its current name in 2017.
