Vermont nonprofit arts center with galleries, a museum, classes, sculpture garden, and a historic campus.
Southern Vermont Arts Center (SVAC) is a nonprofit arts organization on a 100-acre campus at the foot of the Taconic Mountains, drawing on Vermont's landscape and artistic heritage to foster lifelong engagement with the arts. Its campus includes Yester House, the Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum, the Arkell Pavilion, and education studios, hosting exhibitions, classes, workshops, and summer camps for all ages. SVAC cares for a permanent collection of more than 900 works and is home to the Lyman Orton Collection, the world's largest private collection of 20th-century Vermont art. It also supports artist members by offering instruction, exhibition opportunities, and the ability to sell their work.
