St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

About

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a parish in Coconut Grove, Miami, whose mission is to welcome all people into a life of worship, mercy, justice, learning and service. It traces its roots to 1886, when Flora McFarlane arrived in Coconut Grove and began raising funds for a church, and its first church building now houses the Heart of the Grove Art Gallery and Gift Shop. The parish holds a Sunday service each week, supported by a volunteer choir singing Anglican anthems, psalms and motets. It offers Christian formation for adults and children and runs St. Stephen's Day School for children through the fifth grade. Its ministries include an art show, a free tax preparation center, an AIDS ministry and justice ministries, and it also hosts weddings.
