Stormwater Studios

About

Stormwater is a nonprofit visual arts community in Columbia, South Carolina. Its mission is to advance the vibrancy and well-being of visual arts culture in the city and the greater Midlands region by providing working studios, gallery exhibition space, educational programs, outreach and partnerships. Stormwater Studios began as a joint venture of the Columbia Development Corporation and the City of Columbia, as an early project in the revitalization of the InnoVista district. It is now an affiliate of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Stormwater. Resident artists work and mentor in the studios, and the gallery hosts exhibitions by residents as well as local, regional and national artists. The organization plans to present up to 25 exhibitions a year, alongside community events, a residency and partnerships with others.
