Tampa Bay History Center

The Tampa Bay History Center is a history museum dedicated to chronicling the rich heritage of the Tampa Bay region through interactive exhibits, archival collections, and public programming. The museum features hands-on exhibits exploring topics such as conquistadors, pirates, shipwrecks, and Tampa's port industries. Its Touchton Map Library holds over 8,000 maps and charts from early European and North American exploration, while the Witt Research Center houses nearly 10,000 books, documents, and family papers spanning prehistoric to present-day Florida. The center also offers walking tours, special events, and educational programs for all ages, and is located along the Tampa Riverwalk.
