Amarillo-based association enriching education through the arts across the Texas Panhandle.
The Texas Panhandle Art Education Association was founded to enrich education through the arts and to promote art as an integral part of the total curriculum across the Panhandle of Texas. It gives members opportunities for interaction and exchange, and keeps them informed of state and national developments in education. The association connects students, educators, industry professionals and civic leaders to strengthen the creative and cultural life of the region. It supports students through gallery exhibition and internship opportunities, public art and murals, and scholarships for post-secondary arts study, and it partnered with Amarillo College to create the IGNITE: Creative Arts Conference for high school students.
