Titanik / Arte Artists' Association

Titanik is a contemporary art space in Turku, Finland, run by the Arte Artists' Association. Alongside its exhibition space and library, it operates the Titanik A.i.R. artist-in-residence programme, hosting international artists for process- and research-based residencies without the pressure of a final production. Recent editions have focused on sound art, exploring sonic practice as a tool for collectivity and community-building, supported by the newly established Titanik Radio for broadcasting. Residents are given a dedicated working studio adjoining the art space for the duration of their stay.
