UNC Pembroke's Art Department operates the A.D. Gallery, a free campus exhibition space in Locklear Hall.
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a public university whose Art Department operates the A.D. Gallery, a campus exhibition space located in Locklear Hall. The gallery hosts roughly eight exhibitions a year, including student and faculty shows, and is free and open to the public. It began in the 1970s in a converted faculty lounge and was expanded in 2005 into a dedicated 960-square-foot facility with a skylight for large-format work. Programming spans painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media, and digital art, along with recurring events like a senior capstone show and a juried high school art exhibition.
