The Verdant Fund

The Verdant Fund invests in artists working outside traditional spaces, supporting projects that engage communities, challenge conventions, and expand access to contemporary art. It prioritizes public-facing work, experimental and nontraditional formats, and underrepresented voices and perspectives. The fund supports individual artists, artist collectives, and collaborative and community-based projects based in Alabama. Applicants must be working in visual art or related interdisciplinary practices, with proposals reviewed by an independent panel of arts professionals before funding is awarded.
