Visual Arts Centre of Clarington

The Visual Arts Centre of Clarington (VAC) is a cultural institution in Bowmanville, Ontario, that supports contemporary artistic innovation and education. It is housed in a former barley mill, a red-brick building beside Soper Creek Park. The VAC presents challenging, dialogue-producing experiences that use art as a means of knowledge production and promotion. Its aim is to enact social change through meaningful discussions between the public, artists and the institution. The centre values diverse perspectives and works through equity and inclusive practice. It also offers classes and education programs alongside its exhibitions.
