Governors State University

The Visual Arts Gallery at Governors State University presents dynamic exhibitions featuring established, emerging, and student artists, serving as a cultural hub for the surrounding region. Its programming includes the "Ways of Making" series showcasing professional artists and curators, along with a National Juried Exhibition open to artists nationwide. The gallery also runs the Art on Campus Program, which activates spaces around campus with exhibits tied to timely themes. Free public receptions and events support the gallery's mission to inspire, educate, and advance appreciation of the visual arts in the region and beyond.
