Volland Foundation

The Volland Foundation is a residency program based in Volland, Kansas, founded by Patty and Jerry Reece to provide time and space for creative practitioners of a wide range of disciplines. Since 2023, it has hosted artists, writers, poets, musicians, designers, historians, and scientists for immersive residencies amid the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie. The Foundation emphasizes solitude, community, and connection to the rural landscape rather than requiring residents to produce or exhibit work. It welcomes applicants at all career stages from around the world and is developing a masterplan to house all artists and studios on its Volland campus.
