A community arts center offering classes, exhibits and plein air programs in the Hudson Valley.
Wallkill River Center for the Arts enriches its community through art classes, public art exhibits and resources for local artists, believing that art education is critical for developing creativity in youth. Its gallery exhibits feature local artists and embrace contemporary art and the living culture of the region. The center continues the tradition of plein air painting and organizes the annual Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival, showcasing professional plein air painters from around the country. It also serves the community with free senior drop-in classes, free classes for veterans, scholarships for local children, charity fundraisers and meeting space for community and non-profit groups.
