The Watercolor Art Society-Houston (WAS-H) is a membership organization for watermedia artists, founded in 1975. It presents monthly member exhibitions, an Annual Members Exhibit and the International Watermedia Exhibition in its gallery in Houston's Museum District. Year-round education includes classes, major workshops, virtual classes and a WAS-H Academy, alongside activities such as model labs, plein air outings, open studio sessions and artist talks. Members receive discounts on classes and workshops, can earn Signature Status, and take part in the society's exhibitions. The society also runs a sales gallery with paintings for purchase and supports community outreach.
