A Worcester, MA craft center with a gallery and online shop for contemporary ceramics and craft objects.
Worcester Center for Crafts traces its roots to 1856, when it was founded as the Worcester Employment Society to teach immigrants and immigrant women the skills to make and sell handmade crafts. Its retail outlet, the Handcrafted Shop — formerly known as the Gallery Store and one of the first of its kind in the country — curates ceramics, jewelry, fibers, home goods and other work from emerging and established artists across the country. Today the Center continues that legacy, using craft to support artists and improve quality of life for Worcester residents.
