Write On, Door County

Write On, Door County inspires and engages writers and readers of all ages through events, workshops, and a residency program based at its Writing Center in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. Founded in 2012 to encourage people to share their stories, the organization received its nonprofit status in January 2014 and welcomed its first writers-in-residence that April. Today it hosts hundreds of writers from around the world, offers classes and workshops throughout Door County, and presents readings and talks by celebrated authors. Its campus, The Writer's Walk, spans 59 acres of trails and natural spaces for reflection alongside its Writing Center home. Write On also runs community programs such as Memoir Mondays, Art Speaks, the Kids WOW! Creative Camp, and the Washington Island Literary Festival.
