Writers Rising Up

Writers Rising Up is a 501(c)(3) public charity that encourages a deeper understanding of and participation in environmental stewardship through the literary arts. The organization promotes nature education and writing through community events, contests, workshops, literary performances, interpretive installations and publications. It supports submission opportunities for writers whose work connects to the cultural, spiritual and social ties to place, land, natural habitat, flora, fauna and wetlands. The organization is closely associated with the Elizabeth Fries Ellet Interpretive Trail in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and hosts related events, excursions and writing, art and photo submissions tied to this location.
