The Helikon Contemporary Art Association runs a long-term cross-cultural project inviting artists from neighbouring countries to create and exhibit at Helikon Art Center. Previous editions featured Iranian artists (2019) and Ukrainian artists (2021). In 2026, Armenian artists of all mediums and backgrounds are invited for a 2-week live-in residency in Kocaeli, Turkey. Artists receive mentoring from Marina Mess Around (curator and founder of @itsthegallery, artistic direction) and Omer Akgullu (professional actor and director, creative flow and pushing beyond boundaries). The residency includes full accommodation, three meals per day, access to stone, wood, and metal workshops, provided materials, and a collective exhibition at the Helikon Art Center gallery.
