“Work made on location, from life, en plein air — the artist's immediate response to a particular place and moment”
Plein Air Palm Beach presents "Beyond the Studio: Paintings En Plein Air"
This exhibition will feature paintings and drawings created on location by members of Plein Air Palm Beach. Presented at New Studio for the Visual Arts in Jupiter, Florida, the exhibition celebrates the tradition of artists leaving the studio to work directly from life. Created en plein air, or "in the open air," each work captures the artist's immediate response to a particular place and moment. Changing light, atmosphere, weather, color, and the energy of the surroundings become part of the creative process.
If you are not a PABP Contributing Member, you can join through Plein Air Palm Beach's website.
Accepted artwork must be delivered on Sunday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, to the New Studio for the Visual Arts, located at 1615 S Cypress Dr Ste 1 in Jupiter, Florida.
All artwork submitted must be completed from life en plein air.
Eligibility and originality: All submitted artwork must be the original work of the submitting artist and must have been created on location, from life, en plein air. Paintings and drawings created primarily from photographs are not eligible. Artwork created using artificial intelligence (AI), reproductions, giclées, or other mechanically or digitally reproduced works will not be accepted.
