Joanne Henig and Jessica Lempin are the co-founders of Photo Art Pavilion, a curated online marketplace and creative community dedicated exclusively to art photography. For Photographer's Choice, they are searching for images with presence—photographs that capture attention, communicate a distinctive perspective, and remain with the viewer. The jury process is not about selecting one style of photography. It is about building a compelling exhibition in which every selected image contributes something meaningful, memorable, and uniquely its own.
A Note From the Jurors
"We created Photographer's Choice because we want to see the work photographers truly believe in—not work restricted by a narrow subject or theme. We want to discover the images that excite you, challenge you, move you, or represent an important part of your creative journey. With only 50 images selected, every photograph in the final exhibition will have a meaningful place. We look forward to experiencing your vision and discovering the work you choose to share."
This open call is open to anyone who has a passion for photography. No matter if you are a professional photographer or someone who enjoys taking snapshots, we want to see your best work. Whether you prefer to capture the scene with a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, a smartphone, or film, we are looking for creative shots and interesting perspectives.
The Virtual Art Reception will be held online on December 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM EST via Zoom. The virtual reception will also be recorded and posted on the Photo Art Pavilion YouTube Channel.
The top 50 selected photographs for this exhibit will be displayed in an online gallery, which will be featured on PhotoArtPavilion.com in perpetuity.
