“Portals”
Portals is an online juried exhibition open to all CAA members and non-members. The exhibition will be hosted on the CAA website and on OLJS. It will include awards.
Karin Skiba received her MFA from CGU in Claremont, CA, and was a full-time art professor at Norco College in the Riverside District, retiring as Professor Emeritus. Karin has shaped the region's artistic landscape by founding and directing the Norco College Art Gallery, serving as the inaugural director of the Hi-Desert Art Gallery, and curating at Joshua Tree's Juniper Arts Gallery. She has created art for over 50 years exhibiting in Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, and Riverside. Now with a studio in Joshua Tree, Karin continues creating vignettes and fictional characters with a diversity of media.
AWARDS = $1300
We encourage you to explore what defines a portal, and to imagine one that resonates. It might be an elaborate doorway leading to the known or unknown, or an opening into other universes, into the body or mind, or any entrance to something real or imagined.
We invite you to join CAA ($55) to qualify for the Members entry fee and other membership benefits—a members-only exhibition in Spring 2027, workshop discounts, members-only zoom socials, and easy access to gatherings featuring talks by top-tier collagists. Our membership year is July 1 to June 30.
Log in and click on "Enter This Show" above to begin your submissions.
All entries must be submitted in a digital JPEG format and under 4 mb. For best results, images should be at least 1920 pixels on the longest side @ 72 dpi.
This will be a Virtual show only. All accepted entries and winners will be displayed as an on-line exhibit on CAA's website, collageartists.org and on the OnlineJuriedShows website's "Published Shows" at onlinejuriedshows.com.
