Travel Photography Awards — AAP Magazine #62

“My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport.”

• Steve McCurry

Travel is not only about distant destinations. It can be about discovering a place for the first time, returning to somewhere familiar, meeting people along the way, or simply looking differently at the world around you.

We are looking for your travel photography, from near or far, from iconic destinations to places known only to you. Show us the landscapes, people, cultures, encounters and moments that have shaped your journey. Whether you photograph with a large-format camera, a compact camera or a mobile phone, we want to see how you experience and interpret the world through photography.

There is a world out there to explore. Open our eyes to its landscapes, people and cultures — whether they are just around the corner or thousands of miles away. Take us somewhere we have never been, or show us a familiar place in a completely different way.

All genres and photographic approaches are welcome, including color and black & white, traditional and experimental photography, film and digital, as well as a wide range of post-production techniques.

Please submit a cohesive body of work or portfolio. AAP Magazine is about photographic projects, not individual images. Only a unified and coherent group of photographs will be considered for publication in the magazine. Images previously published in AAP Magazine cannot be submitted again.

Winners will receive $1,000 in cash awards, publication in AAP Magazine #62, a free copy of the magazine, a portfolio feature on All About Photo, and international exposure.

All selected winners will have their work published in AAP Magazine #62, receive a free copy of the printed magazine, and have their portfolio showcased in the Winners Gallery on All About Photo.

Submissions will be assessed based on creativity, originality, and the visual and emotional impact of the work. The winners will be announced on All About Photo, through our newsletter and on our social media channels.
