Your work will be reviewed by a panel of five highly qualified, nationally recognized Master and/or Signature level artists. The jurors do not know who the other jurors are and they each work independently. We use a "blind jury" process where the juror does not know the identity of the artist whose work he/she is viewing. Scoring is based solely on the merit of the work, including technical merit and level of impressionistic style. The jurors view every painting that is entered and the five member panel is different for each exhibition.

Dawn Whitelaw AISM
Dawn is one of the artists in On Track Studios in Franklin, Tennessee. Painting Plein Air with colleagues in Plein Air Painters of the Southeast and The Chestnut Group adds a richness and honesty to her studio work.
She serves as Vice Chair of the board of directors of both the Portrait Society of America and American Impressionist Society. In 2016, the American Impressionist Society elected her to Master status. Whitelaw was one of ten American women artists invited to exhibit in "Inspiring Figures" at the Butler Institute of American Art. Dawn is also a member of Oil Painters of America and the Artist's Fellowship.
Most of Whitelaw's formal instruction came from a long-term mentorship with New York painter, Everett Raymond Kinstler. She graduated from David Lipscomb University with a BA. After her graduation, she served as an adjunct teacher in the Art Department for over 30 years. She will tell you that she learned as much from the students as they learned from her.
$5,000 in cash prizes across 15 awards; artists retain 100% of sales commission.
