Palazzo Monti Residency

One-month residency at a 13th century palace in Brescia decorated with 1750 frescoes, where national and international artists share everyday life and experience several artistic practices: painting, photography, sculpture, visual arts and design. Any kind of artist is welcome. Residents have created paintings and prints, installations and objects in ceramic, iron, bronze, marble or wood inspired by the savoir-faire of the Italian territory.

Covered by the Palazzo: private bedroom, private studio, monthly utilities, basic production supplies, participation to on-site events and dinners with guests and visitors. Covered by the Artist: travel, food, artwork return shipping and production supplies. In return we ask for one artwork created while in residence to be donated to Palazzo Monti's public collection.

While we can't organize shows for each of the residents, we always organize a series of events to introduce your work to our contacts. These vary from open studios, private dinners, group shows and so on.
