Pieces will be judged not only on artistic merit but also on how well it tells and sells the story! Acceptable Media: All original visual media is acceptable, such as drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, collage, fabric work, glasswork, jewelry and digital media.
Exhibition entries must be original artwork. Entries must be original, human-created artworks. While digital artwork is eligible, AI-generated art is not, nor are works created in a workshop or class, or otherwise under the close instruction of a teacher. No reproductions will be accepted, with the exception of photography and digital art. Maximum frame size is 36" on the longest side.
Sculpture must be no larger than 12" in any direction. Each artist may submit one entry for consideration for $35 and up to three more submissions for $5 each. All work submitted must be for sale. The gallery will take a 35% commission on works sold. The exhibition will hang in the center special exhibition space (the "Darcy Arts Center") of The Firefly's Main Street, Northport Gallery.
Accepted work must be framed, wired and ready to hang or display. Framed pieces 16" x 20" and larger must have plexiglass instead of glass. Pastels that are not behind glass or plexi must have fixative applied. Accepted Jewelry pieces must be framed.
