About the Exhibition
Woman Made Gallery invites submissions for the 28th International Open, a juried exhibition showcasing work in all media by women and non-binary artists from around the world. We are inviting works that explore and push conceptual and material boundaries.
This exhibition offers a unique survey of what women and non-binary artists are creating around the world. The International Open platforms innovations in materials, important themes, and celebrates the contributions of artists historically left out of global contemporary art discourse and histories.
Awards
Awards selected by the juror:
- 1st prize – $500
- 2nd prize – $250
- 3rd prize – $100
- Honorable Mention
Eligibility
Submissions are open to women and nonbinary artists at all career stages, in all mediums.
Submitted work must be original, created by the artist, and produced without the primary use of AI image-generation tools.
Artists are responsible for arranging the shipping of accepted artworks to the gallery.
WMG offers a number of reduced entry fees and fee waivers reserved for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists. In support of our mission to support the practices of historically under-represented artists and because we never want financial position to be an obstacle of participation, artists may submit requests for discounted entry and fee-waivers to us at general@womanmade.org with the subject "Fee Waiver".
The exhibition will take place at Woman Made Gallery located at 1332 S. Halsted St. Chicago, IL 60607.
