Juried. Jurors score applications on a scale of 1 to 5, with 2 jurors scoring applications. Jurors score separately from various locations, using a single jury panel for all medium categories.
Applications are sorted and viewed by application ID within a medium category, and images are viewed on a computer monitor. On average, about 200 applications are submitted each year and about 100 artists are selected from the jury. Returning artists are selected by the show director or board, based on history of participation. The jury process is closed to observers.
