“Home”
For this open call, we invite artists to explore the theme of Home. Home is more than a physical place. It can be a house, a room, a city, a landscape, a memory, a person, or an inner space we carry within ourselves. It can represent belonging and comfort, but also distance, displacement, longing, change, and the search for identity. For this edition, we invite artists to explore what home means, where it exists, and how it is experienced. We are interested in both literal and conceptual interpretations of the theme—from intimate domestic scenes and familiar surroundings to imagined spaces, memories, emotional landscapes, and places that exist only in the mind. Artists may explore themes such as belonging, family, childhood, memory, identity, roots, migration, displacement, domestic life, personal space, architecture, heritage, community, solitude, nostalgia, and the idea of finding or creating a home. Your interpretation of Home can be personal, symbolic, social, abstract, poetic, or experimental. There is no single definition of home, and we encourage artists to approach the theme through their own experiences, perspectives, and visual language. Open to artists worldwide, aged 18 and above, working in various media, including painting, drawing, collage, installation, illustration, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, assemblage, fiber art, paper art, printmaking, 3D digital art, glass art, metalwork, and more. Selected artists will have the privilege of being showcased in a month-long online exhibition and will receive a 2-6 page spread in both print and digital magazines. This feature will encompass a biography, artist statement, interview, website link, and 2-10 featured artworks. Moreover, all published artists will receive a complimentary digital issue of the magazine, which will be actively promoted on our website and social media platforms. Additionally, artists will be provided with a link to order the printed version of the magazine. Moreover, the curatorial team will select a few exceptional artists for inclusion in their upcoming book edition titled '101 Contemporary Artists and More...'
