OPEN CALL: Photography & Sculpture — The Black & White Gallery at Red Dot Miami 2026 & Artsy

Opportunity Overview

The Black & White Gallery is now accepting entries for our international juried contemporary artist search for Red Dot Miami 2026, taking place December 2–6, 2026, concurrent with Miami Art Week and Art Basel. Our pavilion features a curated presentation of investment-grade monochrome photography and freestanding contemporary sculpture. We are awarding physical exhibition spots on the main fair floor and ongoing global gallery representation to top-tier portfolios.

The Grand Prize Tiers (100% Subsidized Physical Exhibition)

• 1st Place Photography Winner: Full space procurement fee completely waived. Receives a dedicated vertical wall panel layout on the Red Dot fair floor under a 50/50 fair sales split. Includes full on-site curatorial management and premium global digital distribution. (Note: Past gallery partner entries are ineligible).
• 1st Place Sculpture Winner: Full space procurement fee completely waived. Receives a dedicated, centralized showcase footprint on the fair floor to exhibit their work under a 50/50 fair sales split.

The Representation & Runner-Up Prizes

• The Roster Integration: Both 1st Place Grand Prize Winners will receive official, ongoing artist representation on the main gallery website and our official Artsy Partner platform profile, launching with a concurrent 1-month online exhibition synced directly with Miami Art Week traffic, and remaining as regular roster artists thereafter.
• Digital-Only Finalist Tier: Select high-scoring finalists who pass our curatorial review but do not claim the physical booth slots will be awarded official placement as Digital-Only Exhibition Finalists. You receive the exact same digital prize as the winners: an official representation profile on our website and Artsy, a featured spot in our 1-month concurrent online fair exhibition, and continuous inclusion on our regular digital roster thereafter. The digital sales split operates at a favorable 60% Artist / 40% Gallery during the active fair week, reverting to a standard 50/50 split thereafter.

Inventory, Sizing, & Space Constraints

• Photographers (Strictly Black & White Only): All subject matters, formats, and styles are welcome. To maintain a premium, large-format gallery standard across our 12-foot high walls, the absolute minimum dimension allowed for any physical print is 24 x 36 inches. The winner's showcase layout is a dedicated 2 linear feet x 12 feet vertical panel mapped for exactly two (2) 24×36″ works curated in a vertical column stack.
• Sculptors: Open to all styles, conceptual themes, and materials. Works must be freestanding and engineered to fit a standard 12″x12″ footprint safely. Tall, freestanding vertical structures are highly welcome, provided their width remains tight to the 12″x12″ base dimension to protect booth traffic paths and client sightlines.

Logistics, Printing, & Shipping Protocols

• Production & Printing: Photographers maintain absolute control over physical presentation standards and are responsible for all printing, mounting, and framing execution and associated costs. For convenience and to minimize transit wear, the gallery can provide a list of recommended premier professional printing labs in Miami that can print, frame, and deliver works directly to our fair coordinator.
• Incoming Shipping: The Artist assumes full financial responsibility and logistical arrangement for all inbound freight, shipping, and insurance costs required to deliver the artwork securely to the gallery's designated Miami receiving location.
• Outbound Return Shipping: The Artist is 100% responsible for arranging and paying for the post-fair return logistics of any unsold inventory. The gallery will not physically transport, carry, or deliver artwork to commercial shipping offices (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) post-fair. To ensure a smooth breakdown, the Artist must provide a pre-paid, fully insured electronic return shipping label, alongside a scheduled, direct-from-booth carrier pickup appointment at Mana Wynwood for the official fair breakdown window. Works without pre-arranged return carrier pickups will not be released.

Submission Fee Configuration

Application fees fund our juried image processing and secure website entry infrastructure:

• Standard Entry: $45.00 USD for up to 3-5 unique artwork images.
• Extended Portfolio Entry: $55.00 USD for 6-10 unique artwork images.

How to Apply

1. Apply directly through our secure website payment form portal.
2. Upload high-resolution images of your black and white photography or sculpture. Your image upload link will be available after your submission purchase. Please include your website, instagram or social media.

Final winners and digital runners-up will be announced directly via our administration following the close of the jury window.

Entries are reviewed through a curatorial/juried image review process. Top-tier portfolios may be awarded a physical exhibition spot (Grand Prize Tiers) with the fair fee waived, while other high-scoring finalists who do not claim physical booth slots are placed as Digital-Only Exhibition Finalists.
