The 8th annual Holly Jolly Market is held the 3rd weekend in December at Gilchrist Park in Punta Gorda, overlooking Charlotte Harbor. The event is free to the public and open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Event setup is Saturday morning from 6:30am to 9am.
The market features handmade and artist-designed items, with a focus on holiday gift giving. The jury considers unique and creative gift ideas, authors, inventors, and designers. Artists can apply in up to two categories, including: Artist, Craft, Inventor, Designer, Author, Accessories/Clothing, Ceramics/Pottery, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber, Food/Gourmet, Glass, Graphic & Printmaking, Holiday/Seasonal, Jewelry, Metalwork, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, and Candles/Soap/Aromatherapy/Spa/Wellness/Bath-body products. Jewelry applicants must apply in the jewelry category; if not juried in, jewelry cannot be sold or displayed. Categories are capped with no more than 25% jewelry.
Booth spaces are approximately 10' wide by 10' deep with at least 2 feet between booths. Booth and a half and double booths are available on a limited basis. All artist exhibitor tents must be white with no exceptions. Pop-up tents are not recommended; if used, a minimum of 40 pounds per leg (160 pounds total) is required. Displays must be professional and reflect the photos submitted for jurying. Vendor amenities include drive-up unloading, staff support, and marketing through social media, posters, and local advertising. Participating artists are listed on the Facebook event page. No pets are allowed unless written notification is provided at least 4 weeks before the event with required insurance. Artists must be open for full event hours; there are no one-day opportunities.
Entry fees are $275 if paid before October 19, or $325 if paid after. Sponsor spaces start at $600 and are limited to no more than 4 at this event.
