Call for Submissions: 2026 John Fleming Award in Decorative Arts Writing

Annual $1,000 juried award from the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts (CSDA/CCAD) recognizing exceptional magazine writing on decorative arts in Canada. The winning article is published in Ornamentum magazine and on ornamentum.ca. Open to emerging writers (fewer than five publications) submitting an unpublished or published article written within the last two years. Articles must address decorative arts, design, or craft in Canada; appeal to a diverse readership through an accessible approach; and demonstrate original perspective and literary excellence. A jury of three professionals with diverse decorative arts expertise evaluates submissions on originality, contribution to the field, accuracy, and writing style.
