David Hunter

David Hunter was born in Ottawa, Canada, and spent much of his youth moving between communities across the country. This early sense of mobility and shifting landscape would later inform the thematic undercurrents of his work. He graduated with honours from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and continued his studies at the British Institute of Florence as well as Concordia University, broadening both his technical foundation and his engagement with contemporary art discourse. David has worked as a senior art director / branding consultant for established firms in the design and advertising industry, including agencies in the Cayman Islands, Toronto, Montreal, and the Yukon, and has completed independent contracts in Prague, the British Virgin Islands, and the United Kingdom. Hunter regularly participates in international exhibitions and festivals, presenting work that bridges personal narrative with broader cultural memory. He currently has several video-based projects in post-production, further expanding his multidisciplinary practice.
