Artist Statement

My artistic practice centers on digital media, with a focus on animation, collage, and compositional storytelling. I use layered visual elements to construct narratives that unfold through movement, rhythm, and space. Rather than treating digital tools as purely technical instruments, I approach them as expressive spaces where image, motion, and meaning can overlap and shift. A major focus of my work is composition how visual elements interact to guide attention, create tension, and build emotional tone. I am interested in how movement within a frame can transform static imagery into something immersive and experiential. Through animation and digital collage, I explore how fragments of imagery can be reassembled into new visual narratives that feel both structured and open-ended. My themes often revolve around perception, imagination, and constructed environments. I am drawn to the idea that digital space can function like a layered environment, where memory, fantasy, and observation merge. This is especially present in my animated collage work, where I experiment with transitions, pacing, and visual metaphor to create the feeling of moving through an imagined space. My practice is guided by curiosity and experimentation. I often build compositions intuitively, allowing visual relationships to develop organically before refining structure and flow. I see digital media as a constantly evolving field, where process is just as important as outcome. Because of this, I value flexibility, iteration, and the ability to rework imagery over time. Overall, my work seeks to create visually engaging environments that invite viewers to move through layered narratives rather than simply observe them. I am interested in how digital composition can shape experience, and how storytelling can emerge through motion, fragmentation, and reconstruction of image.
